Community
Lolworth is a village full of heart, where community spirit thrives.
This strong sense of togetherness has been recognized on multiple occasions, with Lolworth winning the Best Small Village competition in Cambridgeshire for consecutive years. The village went on to claim the Best Community Spirit award in the prestigious Village of the Year Competition, a testament to its welcoming and active community.
The village is beautifully maintained, thanks to dedicated volunteers who keep it litter-free, and responsible dog walkers are warmly welcomed.
A Hub of Social Life & Events
Throughout the year, a variety of social events bring residents together, all organized by the Robinson Hall and Village Club committees.
Robinson Hall serves as the heart of these gatherings and is open every Friday evening from 18:00 to 23:30, when volunteers from the Village Club take turns as bar stewards, serving soft drinks and alcohol to Club members and their guests. The Hall also boasts full-fibre WiFi, making it an ideal venue for events, meetings, and celebrations.
🎠The Village Show, held every two years, is a much-loved tradition, featuring a wide range of exhibits and good-spirited competition, bringing out the creativity and talents of local residents.☕
A friendly coffee morning, coordinated by Sue Houlton, takes place at Robinson Hall on the first Tuesday of every month from 10:30 to 12:00. It’s a warm and welcoming event where all are invited to drop in for a chat, enjoy homemade cake, and share a "cuppa."
Whether it’s a social gathering, a friendly game of table tennis, or simply a chat over coffee, Lolworth is a village that brings people together.
